Well it's that time of year again. Next year's insurance price £370 through Chris Knott so thought I would look myself. Like for like policy except my excess is now £250 instead of £350. Total for the year with esure is £154, hell of a big difference. :driving:

Wow, that is cheap for an M. If you're sure it's an accurate comparison we'll be sorry to lose you but understand why.

I've just got a quote for my new Z4 with esure as I'm with them already.

£450 fully comp for my current car - Mercedes E220

£220 fully comp for the Z4. Me 29 with three years no claims, the mrs on there as well.

I'm with Esure, 500 fully comp for the ///M and then I bought E53 X5 and they mirrored my NCD for the X5 again fully comp 355 and they gave me a 50 refund from the ///M premium, result... both covered protected NCD etc 805. Very happy considering I live in West Yorkshire

i went with esure too. for an extra £40 they give you protected excess where they cover the cost of the excess for one claim in the year... handy if some toe rag keys your car like they did mine

I am with eSure, I gave CK a call as a courtesy - I had a good quote from eSure anyway. CK wouldn't quote as I haven't had the car for a year.

I have to say for an insurer who are offering performance car insurance I find the restrictions frustratingly limiting. I'm 25, I've driven since I was 17 and not had a single point or claim (touch wood) - I've been a policy holder or named driver on two different Porsches, two BMWs (including a V8 645) and a Ferrari.... but I am supposed to have owned my Zed for a year before they consider me? I know they're at the mercy of the underwriters but the underwriters have given business to eSure, who have no problem seeing sense...

If you've been insured on those other cars as a policyholder we should have been able to quote for the zed. If just as a named driver that doesn't prove how much you've driven them, if at all. Would you mind PM'ing me your name and postcode so I can have a look at this to see what happened?

best,
Nick

I have been with esure for a few years..

My M is £230 a year inc protected no claims..

I did try CK but my postcode couldn't be quoted on.. :(

Also with eSure. Generally find them very good and leading the pack in terms of quotes for me.

Already done a test quote for the new car and they came out top again.

Assume that esure don't cover modifications, or are your cars modified?

CK gave me a really competitive quote and I got good customer service but SKY who I am with currently beat the quote and it was just less hassle to renew, otherwise CK would have got my business.
