Is that a kart track? Car sounds awsome but imho the car is wasted on such a crappy looking circuit.

come try it before you knock it :-) its a proper sprint circuit...
ferrrari ,aston martin and all the big clubs have championships here.... thanks for your opinion but i dont recall asking for any ones opinion on the track?? thanks for that now f**k off  whoops weres my manners?? either way i LURRVVEE curborough.

now any opinions on further mods to the car or the car in general would be great or opinions on my driving, good or bad are welcome :-)

Seriously how many times can you go round a 900 yard circuit with 3 corners and chicane before you die of boredom. Do you actually get higher than 3rd gear at any point? I can see the attraction for classic cars and 125bhp caterhams because I guess they have the agility to make it interesting, but you have a car with more power than you can ever use (at that place anyhow).

Take the car to Silverstone where there is loads of run off, lots of corners and lots of places where you can show the true potential of the car.

Anyhow as long as you enjoy it thats all that matters.

GL HF and Bye Bye.

i can definatly see what everyone means but i just feel the car is much more suited to sprint work than full length circuits, i wont post the pics from shelsly, thats another sprint circuit :-(

main thing is imho is im using the car as for its intention....... i guess growing up at curborough i have a special bond with the place, even more it costs me 40gbp to have a full days worth of track action ;-) let me tell you i didnt have anymore fun at the brunters days and silverstone days that cost 200gbp upwards......

main thing is, its being used!!! i simpy defy anyone to go their and no come back with a grin ear to ear and the cost is peanuts, just about perfection imo....

Great Vid mate, car really sounds awesome   When peddling along, you can really see the S/C shuv :poke: :poke: especially in 2nd gear which seems to be done in no time. I had two rewind one of the vids a few times just to make sure it wasn't 1st gear as the urgency just looked like our 1st gear and not 2nd :o

Thanks for sharing with us - just to echo some comments above, i too went to bed thinking " why can't we see this car or any S/C Z4M on a proper track :headbang: " . This track reminds me of the Abbeville circuit in Calais, which although slightly bigger than yours felt the same - one straight and lots of 2nd gear turns

One of the downsides with our cars is weight on the rear wheels which means the car can feel slightly twitchy sometimes - am talking high speed sweeping bends >100MPH at full chat.. With that additional power at the rear, i'd be keen to see how it coped. Also if you went to one of the bigger tracks and posted vids of you chewing up GT3's  I think there'd be more of us blowing our lumps

BTW - were you running PS2's, how did they fair?

hi their sir.....

yes 1/2/3 are seriously quick now, boost creating meaningful tq as well, keep in mind this is on normal Ps 2's i think they do very well, a move to the pss i have sat in the garage should make things better still without having to move to a full road legal slick........ as you can see shes very powerful, was also pleased to report the AITs and oil/coolant temps were as normal, so the additional coolers are working very well, on a cool day power is pretty insane, my poor diff is beng tortured,... either way i need some better cams ect ect as id really like to get some proper footage of this bad boy.......

i must remember a brimmed power steering tank will lead to it leaking under very hard cornering so i need to drain alttle more of that off, im struggling with traction out of hairpins and the stock seats just did not lock me in place like i need, i love the stock seats so this was really dissapointing...

thankyou for your comments anyhow, she does sound mental, boost has changed the tone it makes by quite some margin and made it also somewhat louder..... main thing is shes running very strong and can pretty much outrun most things on the road.

Those vids gave me goose pimples, great noise from those pipes  Looks like you had a great day :driving:

Do you compete in this car? You could easily enter some sprints in it. I'm wondering if supercharging my Z4MC is a way of taking the fight to the 2x 911 GT3s in the above 2 litre roadgoing class in the AEMC/ASEMC/ACSMC sprint championships.

Good vids/posts,and great sound from ur car ,Beedub

Have to kinda agree with one or 2 others, and would like to see it on a bigger circuit,to get into higher gears/speedsand see it embaress a few supercars, lol :D
At least u are having fun :driving:

Why not? I reckon the stage 1 ESS kit which is around 450 horsepower is ideal for our cars. 450 horses and throw in a good brake kit and coilovers and you'd have a GT3 slayer. Even stock, a well driven Z4M is a force to be reckoned with!

Not in my hands :D

In that case upgrade yourself first! Get some track tuition or attend a car limits day. I've had to do it the hard way, learning to heel-toe, trail brake, use the car's grip better by myself and if there was a place to get some tuition here i would still not hesitate at all! I've improved a lot since i first got it but i'm sure i can be a lot quicker still, the car is brilliant, I'm the bottleneck!

Oh and Beedub, sorry for the hijack, your car is as lovely as always, thank you for posting the pictures and video!

Done both, but there's no substitute for talent.

vt1 is very well balanced with the car..... completely in keeping with the car, vt2 pushes the car into big performance league.... VT1 is all that most will ever need.

+1. Its taken a while to get used to the car and now just starting to feel comfortable with it. More track tuition needed for sure. We need more videos like this to see how these Z's can be driven. Well done Beedun

so is vt1 the one to go with for heavy track use or do you need an inter cooler as well?

also noticed they cost around USD $7k which works out well in GBP terms - how much does the fitting cost £/hours

:driving: like your thinking

When I spoke to Simpsons about this recently, their point was that our cars are already incredibly quick & adding 100bhp doesn't make such a huge difference. Thus they said for the relatively small extra, go straight to VT2 so you save the extra fitting time for the swap.

The only other issue then is insurance..
