I'm thinking about installing an Escort Qi45 radar detector in the Zed - has anyone else installed one of these? I'm still trying to determine where to place the receiver (sensor) without doing any significant cutting of plastic or metal.
Also, does anyone know the location of a firewall pass thru grommet? I have read that it is the Sound Generator grommet, but that does not seem to make sense because that (large) hole is filled with the SG pipe connected to the firewall.

Installation has now been completed. Attached are a couple of pictures to show the receiver mounted in the lower front grill, and the LED display installed in the interior.
The task was not too bad - a single wire to run through the firewall. Power was connected directly into a switched circuit at the fuse box (behind glove box). The controller module (receiver input, display output, and audio) was mounted behind panel below the radio.
Installation took about 6 hours, total - a far cry from the advertised 45 minutes for a "typical" installation, but I'm pretty happy with the results.
