Error Messages

Hi,

I have had a search but nothing came up - has anyone encountered a trio like this popping up:

"ftm system error"
"start assistance inactive"
"drive control system"

?

Its booked in with main dealer on Monday on another issue (!) but it seems the hill start is inactive and DSC is inactive as well now.

2009 E89, bought from AUC 4 weeks ago...!

One of the few things I appear not to have had... so can't help, sorry. No matter what the response, its likely a dealer only fix anyhow. Sounds like some form of brake/abs issue given its warning about the tyre monitor and that the braking/ABS system is key for DSC and hill assist to work.

Dont suppose you have had a problem with adaptive headlights errors?

Dear god man, don't start competing with me on things going wrong haha, you'll never win!

If you're getting more errors, I'd say its a more central issue, again, dealer is your only hope really, and you're under warranty so have them sort it for you. None of the errors mean its undrivable, but be careful as no DSC could mean it gets interesting if you lose grip.

The other errors sorted themselves out overnight however will mention them on monday.

The adaptive failure happens more frequently, but again sorts itself out overnight.
