Error code P2626

Hi guys!

Just got the yellow engine symbol on the dash today  . Car is ever so slightly hesitant and has a slight fluctuation on idle. Luckily I have a Scangauge II from use on a previous car. I plugged in the Scangauge to the OBDII and it read fault code P2626. I have reset it for now and taken for a short drive. Still has the fluctuating idle so i assume that the light will pop back on and i will have to replace the sensor.

From searching I've found that it's - P2626 = O2 Sensor Pumping Current Trim Circuit/Open (Bank 1 Sensor 1).

It therefore sounds pretty straight forward that its the B1S1 O2 sensor. Can someone just confirm that this would be correct based on experience hopefully, as I see the prices for them are ridiculous! Secondly, any idea where the cheapest place to get an OEM one is? They seen to be about £200 each. Also, it seems that ours are the same as E46 M3's, would make sense, just want to make sure I'm right.

Thanks,

Craig

No experiences with buying/changing o2 sensors guys?

So far I found -
The front bank (cylinders 1-3) has black cable insulation and the rear bank (cylinders 4-6) has grey cable insulation. The cable length is the same for both sensors. I found someone in the U.S got the front sensor for £60 ($85.00).

So, my code seems to relate to b1s1 from what I have read it should be the black insulated one i need, just not sure if its - 11787837564 OR 11787837565 OR 11787540167?

Sorry mate no idea on this at all :| .
Hope you get some help soon from one of the guys on here.

I had 2nd bank o2 sensor go on mine not about this time last year. Same symptoms as you describe, lumpy idle, but fine once running.

Not a clue on prices though I'm afraid. I just told the dealer the fault code I'd taken off our OBD reader, and it was all done on warranty.

Think it's a pretty common fault....
