Epic Aston fail - it got worse!

The neighbour's just spent half hour trying to get his newly acquired Aston Convertible on his drive, but no matter what the climb off the road on to the steep down sloping drive beaches the thing in the middle, not even close. Looks like he's given up and left it with a relative :(

It's a gutting experience and remember the feeling when I realised my Landcruiser wouldn't fit in either my garage or most car parks because of the height :headbang:

I know how he feels i have the same problem with my drive especially if the car is fully loaded

I feel for him... However it is human nature to have a small laugh at other people's misfortune :D

Hopefully he has a few quid left to fix the drive...

ouch, like nails down a blackboard - there's no worse sound than hearing your pride and joy grinding against the tarmac... had a bad sloping drive at my previous home :[

Am sure your neighbour would'nt appreciate you filming him beaching his Aston on his drive,so i wont ask this of you :P

I did try getting a pic but his family were all out on hands and knees under and around the car, I was trying to look concerned and a pic wouldn't have been quite appropriate

I'm sure there they'l have another go with scaff' planks tomorrow :spy:

Mine scrapes it's belly when loaded as my drive slopes down to the house, and it's getting over the pavement that causes the problem. This guy will need to get his driveway re profiled, something for him to brag about and have a laugh over in years to come, but, a right pain at this moment.

tell him to park it on your drive

Better still, tell him he can park in on my drive. :)

Which Model?

2007 DB9 Conv in dark blue, the poor guys now keeping it on his in-laws drive up the road and hasn't moved it since, and his in-laws have to go to his place to collect their car.
If he wanted to swap for my Zed I obviously would on a financial basis but it's not my cup of tea in all honesty, particularly not in deadly nightshade blue as the trade call it.

Kinda makes me wish even more you'd taken a photo

In all seriousness though that must be gutting.

Friends of ours have just bought a 3 series convertible and are upset it won't fit in the garage... Kinda have sympathy in all these cases because they're things you'd never really think about.

After the poor guy was unable to park his DB9 Conv' on his drive things took a turn for the worse, a few weeks in to ownership the dash lit up like a fighter with a missile inbound and an estimate for £5k of work

The Aston has gone, never to return! Puts my brake callipers in to perspective :|

Omg.. They pretty unlikey.... But astons must be notorious for going wrong... My parents neighbour had a dbs... A few weeks into ownership they trashed the gearbox, apparently because he never fully stopped before going into reverse

Also had to drive a toyota iq while it was being repaired!

I'd never buy a car like that unless I had a spare £10k emergency pot.

Would love one but too many horror stories.

Save a bit more and get an R8
