Entrapment avoided

Having a sister in the police, I can confirm that most of the people they deal with are brain dead morons. She says it's like being a social worker for chavs.

Until I encounter a police officer acting like like an idiot, I'll give them plenty of respect for the job they do.

Quite right too. I've had many positive experiences with the Police, including the traffic cops. This one was a class one, gold plated moron though. If I'd been caught behaving on his in-car camera like he was, I'd have been prosecuted for dangerous driving and rightly so.

Just a thought but if you got busted in this situation, police cars have cameras. You could request the footage in fact you are entitled to it, it should be straight forward to argue that you would not of been speeding but for the behaviour of the police man if there is excessive tailgating, light flashing etc. I'm not a lawyer though....

However, my approach in this situation is to always slow down and keep slowing down if someone is clearly trying to intimidate me. Ultimately pulling in and letting them pass.

My brother who is a surgeon and drives a Porsche gets pulled over at least four times a month for a breathalyzer.

He travels early mornings to hospital so they probably mistake him for some late night reveller every time.

He has a collection of the breathalyzer squibs in his car.

My personal experience is exactly like the OP however I was pissed off so I slammed the brakes.
This caused the car behind me who was a 5 series to utterly swerve and brake after which I threatened to report him. I did none of that but sometimes it shows you are as strong as you need to be.

Anyone got any good stories about the plod?! - Jeez I'm glad I got the 2 litre! :(

2 litres still quite nippy and I doubt the plod will tell the difference.
I was pulled over like 4 times in my 2.0 z4.

not once charged though... must be something I said

What did you say 'nightyard' - let's have the secret - could be useful!

I suspect that if I'd had a 3.0 or M I might have been tempted to be that little more aggressive in pace and it might not have been so easy to get out of if stopped - with the 2.0i Sport I can enjoy the full performance more frequently - hopefully without hassle - erm - wish i hadn't said that - I take it back.

I've always wanted my own set of 'Mi5 trump card' blue lights for situations like this... I reckon I have the balls to pull them over!

They wouldn't know what had hit them...!
