I've been pondering the N52 exhaust manifold and integrated cats and what their service life is.

God forbid if anything went wrong but would the only option be BMW replacement?

I had a cursory google and couldn't find an OEM cat'd manifold.

Not sure how my mind wandered to that topic but now I'm curious!
 
I pondered the same thing when my 2nd E86 threw up post-cat 02 sensors codes on both banks. :o

My Indy reckoned the only sesnsible option for replacement cats would be a breaker.

But it turned out to be one of those random electrical faults thrown up by a dying battery thankfully!
 
More likely to be an issue if the engine starts burning oil, don’t let the ccv block up :thumbsup:
