B Bmwz4ruby Member Jul 14, 2024 #4 Yeah it does sound like a frayed belt. I was also thinking it could be the flywheel slowly dying. When the flywheel on my M57 330d was on the way out it started making horrible noises even without engaging or disengaging the clutch.
