Engine oil

E89 light for low oil just on. Tells me to use BMW longlife 01 or 01FE or 04 or 98 as alternative. Can I use any oil for 1litre to top up 0w-40, 0w-30, 5w-40,0r 5W-30an.
Which is best to use non BMW oil as I'm not gonnae manage to garage this week! Tells me only 125miles use if I've not topped up.
Any thoughts or ideas

Hi mate.
I buy mine through opie oils.
Not put any in the zed yet.
But for my M3 they were the cheapest by miles and miles.
If you say you are a member of a club and then pick one from the list.........ahem.....
They give you at least 10% off
But, you can select your car and they sell complete oil packs or service pack designed for whichever car you have/choose.
OEM or aftermarket.
