Engine Oil

Just been to Halfrauds to get some Oil but they didn't have any 10w-60 in any of the brands. By the look on the stickers on the shelfs it wasn't that they had run out, it looked that it was never stocked on the shelfs in the first place.

Is it that "specialist" an oil?

Where do you guys find the best place to buy?

I buy mine from OpieOils as you get 15% off for being a member of one of their 'approved' clubs/forums and they frequently do another 10-15% off deals.
 
halfords do have it but you have to buy on line,if you have a eurocarparts outlet near you it can be bought of the shelf :thumbsup:
 
Seconded for Opie Oils - I got 8 litres of Castrol edge for £75 delivered with the discounts. BMW were charging £115 for the oil part of the service so it's an easy save on service costs with some spare oil for topping up :thumbsup:

only took 2 days from ordering to arrive at the door
 
i got 5 lts of 10-60 edge for the price of 4 when eurocarparts had an offer on,£43.99 :D

Nope.

I bought 4x4 litres on an OpieOils special expecting the Z4 to use as much as my M5 (1L per 2500 miles), but the MOST it ever used over 7,000 miles (between scheduled & my own interim services) was 250ml. I only use the oil for interim oil services now as the scheduled stuff is done at the dealer, with their oil.
