Engine Noise ? Help ! ? Solved!

So as some of you are aware, i got a Z4C afew days ago.

Drives great, no problems but on idle there is a bit of a whine that i have never noticed before.

Opening up the bonnet i can hear it clearer, only when in Neutral when i rev or go into gear it goes away.

I have a stamp from the previous owner a week ago performing a service on the car.

Whats going on!?

Sounds alot worse than it is in the video as i put my phone right upto the engine.

Took car to a BM Inde

Proper legend, listened to the car, diagnosed the issue in the oil filter, loosened it off took it out cleaned it and tightened it up again.

Noise gone, didnt want money from me!

But serious, he just loosened cleaned and tighened, assume it was vibrating.

I've had that before on a 3.0si, drove me mad until I realised what it was coming from. Just another quirk to be aware of.

Had this on my 2.5si many years ago after dealer changed the oil/filter. Sounded more like a sewing machine from memory.

I have that noise ..was going to investigate the alternator this weekend buit I reckon I'll start with the oil filter now Thanks for sharing.
