Well it seems i also have the dreaded M eml issue.
Was driving through the town today and the eml light pinged on.
The car is going to the dealers tomorrow anyway for the high level brake light to replaced(it has a small crack),have also just discovered
that there is something wrong with the drivers side headlamp washer ,it pops out but doesnt spray and then only goes back in when pushed by hand.
Small niggly problems ,hope that these get sorted swiftly.
Anybody had the headlight washer issue?????.

Not quite the same, but I did have a similar issue with the headlight washer developing a leak (presumably a crack in the tube that lifts the washer - at least thats my interpretation of what the dealer said), but it took 4 visits to get it sorted :x and worse still all the time I was awaiting parts/wromng parts ordered/wrong diagnosis etc.. I had no washers, right in the middle of winter .. all sorted now, but I have a faulty rear shock now, which I've left till next service which is now imminent. Interested to hear anyones thoughts on replacing only the faulty one. Personally, in club motorsport, I would always replace/rebuild both at the same time ....

Original Guvnor recently bought his Z4MC as a BMW AUC and I think he said that whilst it was being prepared they discovered a faulty shock, but under the AUC plan they had to replace all 4...

I've had a problem with the headlamp washer getting stuck open - took it to BMW and they said when the front bumper was resprayed some paint had dripped down and clogged the pipe...

My response?

What respray?!

Turns out the car may have had a light frontal impact in the past, news to me....
