Engine Light Fault Code 002717

Hello!

Just recent joined the forum but I have used it a lot of help on certain things with my Z4.

Went out in the Z4 today just a 10 minute journey, half way into the drive I noticed my engine warning night came on. (Amber). Got home and ran a diagnostic with the OBD reader and it it came up with the attached problems.

I can’t find what exactly it could be, does anyone have any ideas of what it could be?

It’s the 2.2l engine 2004.

Oh and I haven’t noticed any difference in the engine but as soon as I saw the light I did go back home to check it and not drove it since.

Looks like its telling you the Inlet camshaft sensor has set a code, replace the sensor
Exhaust sensor after the cat shows its heating circuit has failed, change that sensor
Check the cooling fan works it may be the temp switch that controls it has gone bad thats screwed into the radiator.
Before spending out on parts clear the codes and run the car for a few miles then rescan to see what codes come back then buy the parts.

Is it possible for all those sensors just to go bad in one go? Is there some module that controls just these sensors that could of gone bad?

The engine light came on and 30 minutes later I scanned it, I have cleared the codes but not been out in it since it’s been snowing and Icey.

Very unlikely that more than 1 exhaust sensor has gone bad at the same time your code reader is showing post cat sensor Bank 2 as having the problem, its item No.4 in the diagram here https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=BT12-EUR-06-2004-E85-BMW-Z4_22i&diagId=18_0497
Change the camshaft sensor first to fix that then have another look at the exhaust sensor before spending out on replacing that. Best fit the new camshaft sensor then clear all codes with your code reader and take the car for an extended run after that read the codes again and note if the EML light on the dash has returned during the test drive. See if that exhaust sensor code has returned, if it has then replace that sensor and clear the codes again, repeat the test drive and see if the EML returns followed by a rescan with the code reader even if the EML hasn't returned. No codes should reveal that you fixed it.
Buy oem replacement parts, always best practice stick to Bosch or Siemens brands that are oem, don't mess about with pattern parts you will end up buying twice in my experience, oem parts work out of the box, costs more but far more reliable.
The Camshaft sensor code you have appears to be in relation to the exhaust side sensor, there are two sensors inlet and exhaust sides. The sensor it appears to be reporting should be No5 in the diagram here https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=BT12-EUR-06-2004-E85-BMW-Z4_22i&diagId=18_0497
