Engine cooling fan

over the past couple of weeks, when i turn the engine off on the coupe, the radiator fan is audiable and takes a good 15 secs (being a geek, i timed it) to slow down to a stop. Has anyone else experianced this? i'm sure the car never used to do it, but may be something to do with the hot weather?

you can hear it loudly from inside and outside the car...

thats normal if the engine is hot? what kind of driving you doing - lots of stop start?

Reading back over my post it's not massively clear.

when i turn the engine off, the fan slows to a stop over a 15 sec period and does so loudly. Similar to a grinding sound when heard from inside the car. It's not like when the engine is hot and the fan stays on to cool the car down for a period - the fan slows immediately when the key is turned. It happens intermittently, both after stop start driving and longer, relaxed journeys
