Engine Coolant Warning Light

Afternoon,
For the past month or so I have been getting an intermittent Engine Coolant light appearing once the engine gets warm and to temperature.
I have put this down to being a faulty sensor as I have checked coolant levels and they are fine, coolant was changed in Feb and I have logged temps via a OBD scanner and they get to max 90-96c. I have looked at fault codes but nothing appears (not carly).

Is there anything else I may be missing or haven't thought about?

Cheers

do a search on here as its a common fault, the expansion tank has a crack in it and needs replacing.

...but the OP says his coolant levels are fine! The float and sensor is built into the bottom of the expansion tank, I'm not sure if they are removable / serviceable though.

most times when car is cold it doesn't leak but when warm is weeps out the crack thus disguising the issue. check the expansion tank for signs of weeping, float and sensor is built in best just change the tank.

Sure, but if it's leaking then the coolant level drops which is entirely obvious when you remove the expansion bottle cap and the float doesn't pop up. Assuming the OP is correct in saying the coolant level is fine then I can't see how this can be the issue. Either way though, sounds like a new tank on the shopping list!
