Engine bay dress up ?

Prefer the carbon fibre look if I was thinking of going down that route. Red is a bit to much for me, but each to our own as life would be so boring if we all liked the same think.

I think a good clean then maybe have the strut braces in red with a couple of other details like red oil filler cap etc. I'd not paint all the plastics looks a bit over the top.

Hear you go some pictures of the brace i make. Some people have questioned if it works. Myself and Luke Mace have fitted them and we both think it has helped. But to be honest i made it for some engine bay bling. It could be anodized red

That looks brill mate! The matching rear supports look ace... Will drop you a line about those shortly!!

Ill add that these are brilliant. The angle on them is very subtle so very little loss of strength through the brace, they are welded in the centres (which is stronger that the ally itself) so i dont understand any idea that they are not a strong, robust unit!

Handling up front has definitely improved

I do like the red rocker cover too! Would look nice on your car Bad with the already red accents you have

Just a note MM, I was looking at my strut braces the other day, and they have a notch in the middle on the underside. I guess that they are designed to fail in bending at that point in the event of an accident. Energy absorbing and all that jazz/stop them from entering the cabin!

That does look good! How much for the lot? (front and back braces)
I'm not sure on the colour yet...

The overall idea would be as follows:
- red engine cover with grey decals (lines and BMW letters)
- Grey 6 (intake?) pipes
- red cover on the left hand side of the intake pipes
- grey radiator cover with BMW roundel
- grey or chrome oil filler cap

Red braces on top of that might be too much... Could you have your braces chromed or polished though?

Strut brace not standard on the M but I think you could add it. That one is a BMW OEM one either way.

If they are not anodized £220 for the lot + postage. No idea what that would cost? I can polish it up and spray it vht clear coat so it dose not oxidize. I am not 100% but i don't think you could chrome them.
