I have a mint used Z4 3.0i 6 speed, I had it for the past few months, and I noticed when engaging the clutch from standstill that it grabs very jerky, not smooth..
This isnt all the time, so am I engaging it in the wrong matter? I do apply rpms over 1000 when engaging, so I dont think I am trying to stall and get that stalling jerky engagement. It seems the clutch is grabbing roughly, it happens on occasion, and I never had a problem with other gears. One time I was engaging really slowly and was stuck halfway clutch was slipping, and I got that jerky feeling. You think it is the clutch plates? YES I replaced my cdv valve, and I do get smooth shifts when popping in different gears. Is this normal in Z4s ? How long would be the labor for replacing clutch plates?
