Because I can I thought I would let you know how it tastes.
Weather was fairly on and off but pretty dry early in the season, especially on the left bank.
Left bank tasting so far: All communes (Pauillac, Margaux etc) are pretty homogenous but a few green wines there for thos that picked too early or green harvested. Still a few playing catch up with over extraction and some just doping it by choice when they have ripe fruit aromas.
Firm favourites:
1. Pichon Longueville Lalande (Comtesse)
2. Petit Mouton (2nd wine of Mouton Rothschild)
3. Leoville Poyferré
4. Ch. D'Armaihac
These wines should when the En Primeur prices are released be fairly reasonable and a good buy (compared to 2009 and 2010).
