If you didn't watch this on BBC2 this evening, get on iPlayer sometime soon. One of the best programmes about real people I've seen in a very long time. It's reminded me there's something special inside everyone, somewhere - it just needs found. Inspirational, brilliant TV.

Not even remotely. It's about people who have serious mental conditions trying to find work. In this episode one guy has pretty much constant Tourette's, and another is so autistic he can barely hold a conversation he's so anxious of social interaction.
 
Ah yes I remember a BBC documentary a couple years back like this, for me these guys have the best skill set at times being focused, loving routine and repetitive work - the motivation and job satisfaction seen can be immense, and then like everyone there are those jobs that can be very challenging like customer facing roles. The fella on coronation street at the moment does it for me - an inspiration on television and the best actor going in it. Although I probably shouldn't have admitted I watch coronation Street :oops:

That bloke with Autism was amazing on the piano and then susses out a computer program bug at work. A must watch, so it's another Yes from me. :thumbsup:

A very humbling and heart warming program. Sometimes you don't realize how 'easy' life is for you. GLOL @ the poster above and the Apprentice!

When it mentioned employable in the title I immediately thought business - hence the apprentice, that's called logic in the business world :thumbsup:

:rofl: That's some Jonny Essex logic right there! Business and those unemployable spacloons on that abortion of a reality show called the Apprentice do not go together!
 
If I'd actually seen the programme then yes you'd be right (in which case I'd not have asked the question).

However having not seen it I was asking if it's similar and thus yes the business logic is there to link the two. If you are unable to establish that link (judging by your 'jonny essex' response) I'd suggest you never enter into business management or customer service roles :thumbsup:

Colleague in work saying he recommends this programme for a watch, as mattwaltersz4m says; we don't realise how easy life is on a daily basis
 
I was not keen on it but reading all positive comments I may watch it as I have too much time on my hands at the moment.
 
I watched it and was quite touched by it. It really was a good program, and I'm not a great TV lover either

The Autistic lad obviously reached the bosses heart with his brave speech and deserved what he got.

On the subject of Autism, '"The A word", with Chris Eccleston looks like being a good weekly Drama too, so catch up on the first episode of that if you can before next weeks program
