Hi I have a z4 e85 2.0 2005 that's just over on the emmisions co reading is .36% it should be less then .20% it's down to the catalytic converter I've tried everything else aby idea how to sort this without replacing the cat

Never used cataclean but that may do the trick in cleaning the system out. Also try a good petrol of higher octane and give car a good thrash. Out of interest do you use supermarket petrol as that could be your problem
 
Hi Mike6 thanks for your reply I put some catclean in yesterday and took it for a good drive today Test is tomorrow evening so I'll give it hard drive just before it
I used premium petrol
I'm in Ireland the supermarkets dont sell petrol here
Hopefully that might do it a new cat from the main dealer is 3000 euro crazy money
A second hand one from the UK is about 1000 euro with postage so hopefully this works

Also check air filter and perhaps renew along with new spark plugs. Failing all this check emissions valve etc isn't clogged.
