EML Light on?

So a little gutted as today is the first day I can actually drive the M and the EML light is on. The car is running and driving fine so in guessing it's a sensor being a bit dicky due to bein sat just over a week whilst waiting to be taxed.

Any thoughts? Should I not drive it with the light on? It's orange/yellow if that makes a difference?

Obviously I will get it back in to where I bought it, but as the weathers good I was hoping to go for a blast!

Does it have old fuel in it and what fuel is it? 95/98+ Ron?

Sitting for a week or a lot longer shouldn't cause any issue.

Mine sits for longer than a week. Probably on O2 sensor. Try and run on the same fuel all the time, as changing fuel brands does seem to trigger these issues.

You might find after a few ignition cycles that it goes out.

Problem solved! Filled it with some 99 as the last was just £15 worth of 97, like said a few ignition cycles and the light is gone. 8)

Get some good fuel in it and give it a good thrashing once it's warmed up!
