EML light on after refuelling

Filled up from nearly empty his morning and the EML light came on. It did it once before, again after refuelling, but that time cleared itself after 50 miles.
Is it likely to be a dodgy sensor?

No, although Sainsbury's may have! Last time it happened I'd put regular fuel in instead of premium, but since then I've always stuck with regular.

I now avoid Supermarket petrol and only use Shell or BP.

Correction, it's not the EML light, it's the emissions warning light (yellow engine block symbol).

Also referred to as the EML. Have you had the code read? That may give you a pointer to the cause of the problem.

Often caused by cap not being fully secured in place. Perhaps try to remove and install again, then run 50 miles to see if the light turns off.
