EML, ENGINGE, WARNING TRIANGLE AND BATTERY LIGHT - THE FULL MONTY

Hello everyone

Having a lot of problems with my Z4. EML light warning triangle light and battery light are all on. Car won't start.

Have just paid £781 to replace the mass airflow sensor. It worked for two days, and now - Nothing.
After it was fixed the EML light and warning triangle light stayed on for 10 seconds after start up then disappeared. Now the dash is lit up like a Christmas tree.

The RAC will block my number soon from the amount of call outs I need

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Good morning.
Firstly, whereabouts are you? Possibly someone near enough to help out, get all the codes etc.
How old is the battery? They can cause all sorts of odd issues when they start to die.

Hello!,

I am based in Norwich, it has been to the mechanics x2 have changed the mass air flow sensor and the air mass meter rubber boot pipe

Not sure on date of battery - have just checked and no date written on it - it is green suggesting that its charged..

Inly bought this car in June so am still finding my way around it :o

Ha! That's handy! I'm in Attleborough.
Happy to help out and I do have a few spares as well.

What engine is it?

The intake pipe often splits and can throw codes but why replace the maf itself. What symptoms were you getting beforehand. This could help pinpoint why car now has problems. Hate to ask but how good are your mechanics, might they have dislodged something.

Which is why I'm hoping I can get a look at it and hopefully help out.

SophieBellenberg, I have sent you a PM.
I think you need to make three posts to use the messaging system or I could be wrong

You're right, the OP will need to make one more post to be able to reply by PM.
