Ok, as it says really I was driving home the other night when the emissions warning light came on, after reading some possible causes in the problems section (anything from a broken sensor to a new wiring harness) I decided to bite the bullet and put the Zed into the stealer to find the problem.
Well I've had the Zed in the stealer this morning and they have discovered a split pipe on the air intake. Once I knew I wasn't looking at an electrical problem I went in search of the split and found this.
I removed the bit of pipe concerned and sealed it as best I could with some tape it as a temporary measure.
When I then started the Zed I still had the alarm showing on the dash. Does anyone know if this should this reset automatically (I hoping there are no other leaks) or does it need reseting via the OBD port or could I do it by possibly disconnecting the battery for 20 mins or so.
I have the Zed booked in for next week to have the part replaced at the stealers but I was just thinking if I can save some labour charges so be it.
