I assume it's emissions, had it before on numerous cars. (Monitoring exhaust gas pressures) Is this a lamda fault or such like? it's under warrenty so no hassle jsut curious.

Check also the emissions - secondary control pump.

Mine came on and took it to dealer under warranty. They said it was registering a fault but they inform BMW and then they take the course of action required by BMW. Just waiting at the moment to find out. Will let you know.

BMW have recommended a new wiring loom be fitted. Dealer says it will take all day as car has to be reprogrammed. I haven't it booked in yet but will keep you informed.

Hi guys

Mine has both (EML & 'little engine' emmissions warning) on intermittently, sometimes together, sometimes one or the other. Booked in under warranty for saturday, will keep you posted on the result...

Fixed under warrenty. Car is flyin!!! Was a lamda sensor. Probably got moisture in it when we were knee deep in snow.

I had oxygen sensors replaced on both banks, within a month. Seems to be one of the only regular faults with the Z4Ms.

Just got back from garage, car needs the wiring harness replaced, a 2 day job apparantly...

Thabk got its still under warranty...! 8)

Wow.. new looms? That's a tad scary.. Which engine variant were they both?
It is indeed, would they swap out the entire loom or just parts?

Think they're both non-///M.

Ok, car back from garage, wiring loom all replaced under warranty, appears to be running fine...

Yup non-M (obv) 2006 2.0, lot of work for that new a car :|

Also asked them to look at various rattles around the cabin while the car was in, the (presumeably stock) answer was ' we have lubed and oiled any obvious rattles & tighened fitting, test driven the car and compared it to another similar roadster in stock and it is comparable'.

Needless to say, the rattles are exactly the same as when i dropped the car off...

Hey ho, good job I like loud music huh?!
