Hi Guy's,

I Have a 2007 Z4, went to start it the other morning and the engine emissions light stays on, also it sounds as if there is a slight misfire, Can anyone point me in the right direction as what to expect, could it be a sensor? CAT? or something more serious, Thank's in Advance

Thank's Andy,

Much appreciated, is that a main dealer job, when you say coil pack, where is that situated? easy to get to?

Sorry for all the question's but after doing some searching on here, it seems that you are the expert on this sort of problem.

Cheers

Do you have breakdown cover?

One of mine went on my TT and the AA bloke had spares on him. Think it cost around £30

Very easy to change, see this post:- http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=1937 ...

you have to remove the coil packs to get the Spark plugs out ! Use a code reader to find out which one it is or disconnect one connector at a time with engine running, If the revs drop that one is OK, If there is no difference in the revs ,,that's the faulty one !

Are you going to get it properly diagnosed?

No need Andy, you obviously know your stuff on these, as you diagnosed it was indeed a coil pack, fitted 4 new ones and 4 new plugs and she's purring like a Kitten again.

Thank's for your insight, it is appreciated
