Emission warning

Hi all, following my roof motor problem finally paid for by BMW as a goodwill gesture I thought the warranty is not worth having.
Left home to join my ship, wife driving the Zed, after 1 week she say's she has a warning light, I get her to check the book and it's the emission warning.
My first thought was a faulty sensor but my wife won't drive if any warning so she got the dealers to collect the Zed, they are also surprised as they only had it in 10 days ago for the roof motor.
Anyway it turns out to be the timing chain, don't have all the details yet but it's fixed and back home and best part is the warranty covered it, lucky as it only had about a week to run.
So the warranty was worth it in the end, have to wait until end of May when I get home to find out exactly what was wrong but good the Zed is fixed.
So don't ignore emission warning light, I would have probably driven a lot more if I couldn't detect any noise.

I have this light on, i have the code P0056, which is the Heated Oxygen Sensor Control Circuit B1S2 according to my reader. Which it says is a sensor by the cat. Going to take it upto a specialist in the next week or so.

I'm amazed that's the timing chain, for it to be so stretched so as to cause fuelling issues it must have been causing the engine to run strangely indeed, I would want an independent second opinion of the cause.
How many miles has your car covered?
Regards

Yes it surprised me also as it's a 2007 3.0SI with about 61,000 miles but as I said this is the information I got from my wife by phone, at present my ships in Japan and I'm not due home until end May.
