Just been looking at the long range weather forcast :( :o :headbang:

Seriously thinking of leaving this horrid wet over populated little country!! Maybe somewhere on the east coast of the USA?? Any suggestions where from the locals?? Ideally near a big university where i can try and carry on with a similar job roll in scientific research. And MUST have warm summers i can live with cold winters but it MUST HAVE warm mostly DRY ( NOT BLOODY WET ) summers.

The UK is bloody beautiful when its sunny. But i cant remember the last decent summer.

Yeah i had looked at Boston.

Got contacts at MIT as well.

The wheels are yours if i go. Unless i cant get replacements for my replacement zed!!

How do you know about my criminal past!!!

Yeah to be honest i probably wont do anything what with my mum depending on me so much. Gotta dream though. And i seriously P1$$ED with the constant bad weather. Event thinking myself that i should have got a coupe.

Boston... good luck in winter... make our dusting of snow this year seem tropical!!

Personally i would pick UCLA - have venice beach and the hot hollywood girls year round! 8)

Iam sorry but you couldn't paid me to live in the states it would have to be Europe for me

Si-forks is tapatalking

Good luck Monkey.

I have lived and worked in the states (Cincinnati), I absolutely loved being there and the lifestyle. Winters were hard and cold, lots of snow, summers hot and humid.
Wouldn't mind doing it again.

For those skilled trades id heard Canada was the place to go , £100k a year not unheard of although harsh winters but nice summers 8)
I know what you mean on the weather front Mm :? I don't want year round sunshine i just want the 4 season's to enjoy a bit of everything .
I love France & all it offers & am already sorted there propertywise so only see that as a permanent move in the future , 3 or 4 years maybe  or sooner if i get my own way

Lived and worked both west and east coast US including Boston. If you're serious, you can't beat Southern Cali weather, and PCH has to be on your bucket list. Don't do Florida or pan handle - the humidity is terrible and will rot your car.

Tapatalking...

The Carolina's are nice, the mountains are great to drive through.
I agree and IMO the best place to live on the East coast. A little hot sometimes in the summer but the rest of the year and even the winter months can be very pleasant...

Thanks or the info and advice it was more a rant about our poor weather really. Although Mrs Monkey and myself do dream/ talk about it often. The thing that holds us back is family. Those who read my post a few weeks ago will understand. But the wife has a very close loving family I think we would both miss that to much.

May I suggest we all go out side and do a sun dance Cross what we can. And hope and pray to who ever we chose that we do get a summer!!

As mentioned I don't expect tropical conditions. But seasons with define not differences instead of just cold or wet. With a sunny day every now and then just to let you know what your missing!!!
