I too would like to know what to do in an emergency.

off topic I have noticed there seem a lot of unnecessary delays in software that prolong the open/close cycle

Delays? Hmmmm not sure I agree with that. There always appears to be something going on, and all the components of my roof tend to move one after the other without any delays.

Yes always something going on but sometimes there could be things going on together to reduce time. For start the trunk could be rising while the windows are dropping etc

Maybe BMW only let one task happen at a time so not to over stress the battery with excessive drain at any one time.

Yes always something going on but sometimes there could be things going on together to reduce time. For start the trunk could be rising while the windows are dropping etc

On mine the windows do drop at the same time as the rear window section unlatches and starts to move...!

Why do the windows need to drop all the way down.

Only delay I can see in mine is when the boot closes there is 1 second delay before the windows start to close. other than this its very tight and some actions are simultanious
