Emblem/roundels all round

Flyingffer

Exactly

The point is that the ones I referred to earlier today appear to be genuine , if it is a bargain for whatever reason does not mean it is crap

So because people are willing to pay silly prices for a smartphone means that its perfectly fine to snipe users for not wanting to spend £35 on a 3p sticker or 6p bit of plastic?

Or alternatively, provide a solution to a part he clearly can't find in the right spec, with availability?

In terms of quality, if they were quality we wouldn't all need to replace them so readily

If it's quality you want, don't buy Z4's with their well-known steering issues, VANOS, DISA, manifold leaks, cam-chain slip, horrendous RFT tram-lining etc., etc.

"tHe dEaLeR hAs tHeM" isnt exactly what the OP was looking for, I'm pretty sure they are fully aware that the BMW dealer stocks BMW badges ffs

Only issue I've had with my Z4 in 6 years and 65k miles is the water pump, its probably the most reliable car I've owned and its my daily :idunno:

Not sure why you have come into someone's wanted post just to be a walloper

Totally right, ideally we all want the genuine article we just dont want to pay utterly indefensible prices for it
I will probably order those ebay ones myself as they are at least somewhat reasonable and do appear genuine

Agree. I'm usually all for the genuine article (not withstanding the ebay indicators appear to be such).

I am happy to accept alternatives to the real McCoy and was hoping someone could post some links to such.

The bonnet badge in particular seems an usual size

The irony is that if BMW just charged say £5 or £10 for the badges we would all probably just pay that and they would sell thousands if not hundreds of thousands of the things! :slaphead:

Instead they are greedy twats so.... :ebay:

Much appreciate those links MKZ, really good find!

To Dr Zed

The first one you listed above is the side emblem the two pins one the rear engage into the indicator housing.

The others you listed are the wrong size should be 82 mm if I remember correctly and have two pins on the rear oriented vertically to one another to locate on boot and bonnet metal work.

Good luck on finding same.

Allan

Hi Allan .

One of the links is for an 82mm boot badge . this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224680830668?hash=item34500566cc:g:8tIAAOSwYkdfeaPz

notwithstanding the semantics of it not being on the bonnet,
This is the one? 70mm.

Ok, I meant front spoiler :P . Are the facelift front badges a different size to pre-facelift ?

Seems my very simple and humble ad about some bits of plastic caused quite the stir. I'm not one to continue it but on account of not paying dealer prices is the exact reason I posted this advert. There's a bmw dealer literally 2 mins down the road from me (not that they're any good). I appreciate people wanting to help but simply putting 'go to the dealer' isn't exactly the reason I posted this advert, nor is it the reason I join forums like this. I haven't bought a new phone in well over 8 years for their ridiculous prices either so.. Since they were brought up.. For some reason.

I appreciate the help by everyone and I also appreciate the quality you get when buying from the dealer but at the end of the day it is just a piece of plastic.

Anyways to get it back on track. I'm now doubting myself that it is 70 mm @enuff_zed. Also yes let's ignore the semantics :P. Front bumper then! :poke:

Apparently the 73mm sort of fits but god knows what model originally had that. Why can't they all just be the same!

Just measured my E89 and wifey's E85.
Definitely both 70mm.
Apologies, I don't have a tin-top to complete the set.

Ah so the E89 shares it too? Good to know, thanks! I'm sure the E86 is the same :P

The hunt continues..

I suspect all the 'walloping' you were getting may have distracted you, but I did post the screenshot of the Parts Cross Reference earlier.
Yes it appears they all have the same.

I can confirm my new 1-series is 82mm though. :D

Ah, so you did. Appreciate that! I'm surprised these are so hard to find tbh. I was expecting people on this forum to just have boxes of them lying around :P

Just to add, it appears at least some of the BMW bikes also use a 70 mm badge as I'm getting that as the result when searching specifically for the size, and not the part number.

E85 and E86 share the same bonnet badge which is 68mm, unique to 1st gen Z4 (51147044207)
E85 and E86 share the same side indicator badge which is 82mm (51147057794)
E86 boot badge is the same as the side indicators
E85 boot badge is different, still 82mm so probably with a different fixing (51148132375)

Well I've measured my E85 and E89 and they are 70mm. Which is what realoem says too, and that is what that number you've quoted says as well?
Confusin' innit?
