electronic oil level check

2007 SI Coupe

Engine was warm, pressed the button and a few lines appeared and flashed in a clockwise direction. Then disappeared.

Does that mean my oil level is ok?
I was rolling in first gear. Does the car have to be stationery?

nope, you get a series of blocks scrolling from left to right they stop to indicate the level and will say OK or if at the lowest point it will ask you to add 1ltr

mine when pressed at beginning of journey keeps cycling (assume the engine isn't warm enough for a correct reading) then after its warm it says 4 bars, OK..... then after a little longer when pressed again it shows 2 bars and says OK...... anything to worry about or is it just the oil circulating the engine and dropping the level reading?

Ensure on a level surface etc etc.

The blocks should show and then should say 'Oil OK'
After that it then reverts back to the original screen.

I'm not a fan of this system tbh.
