Electrical LCM issue, my own stupid fault 🤬

I can imagine the relief you are feeling!
It should make parting with £‘s a little less painful.

Thanks . I had visions of having to go to the stealers. That would have meant a new LCM + coding & I hate to think what that would cost. Looking online a new LCM is around £260 on its own :o .

Well I've got her back now & all is as it should be  . Very happy with the service & price. He did say it was a pita of a job but he got there I'm glad to say.

Can I ask indy you used, just for ref

Mark, the place is called BMWMAN. He's in a large unit on an industrial estate in Heanor which is just a couple of miles from me.

 Ultimately it’s just some button presses on a laptop. It’s just knowing which buttons to press!

That's who I'd been using since buying mine

Well they do have a good reputation. James is a good bloke & certainly knows his stuff. I've not used him except for this coding job mainly because I have a good indy just around the corner from me. I might well use him for my X1 next April when its first proper inspection is due though  .

Hi all,

I know this post was 3 years ago but this EXACTLY same issue just happened to my 05 Z4!! Airbag lights on after changing a LCM by some cowboy garage..... I was so worried and this post really saved my life (and my sleep).

May I know if a BMW Scanner 1.4.0 can do the job of resetting all these myself so that no visit to trustworthy garage necessary? Thanks!
