I'm not as stupid as the title suggests!
Parked my Z on the drive on Sunday at around 7pm with roof up. I have the Gaptech remote roof module fitted and was horrified when my girlfriend woke me up at 8am the next morning telling me my roof was down at it had been raining!
I had my keys in my pocket up until about midnight and the only thing that could have happened is I have been unfortunate enough to catch the buttons in my pocket and activate the roof to go down!
Upon examining the interior, I have been EXTREMELY lucky! I live at the top of a windy hill and my car was parked into the wind, meaning the dash, footwells were bone dry. The back supports on the seats had taken a bit of a pelting though.
I set off for work at about 11 to realise I had some electrical gremlins, first I had no lights at all or indicators, but after 5 mins of heating on full they all came back and have stayed working. I have had the heating on full for 4 hours over the last few days and I am left with a couple of intermittent issues.
1 - indicators don't flash when locking/ unlocking and the red light on the rear view mirror seems redundant
2 - airbag warning light comes on and goes off as it pleases, as does the warning that you are not wearing your seatbelt.
I understand (I think) why point 2 will be happening but anybody got any ideas on why the alarm seems to have given up?
Any suggestions on best way to deal with the problems?
My Dad has a huge garage so I was thinking of taking the interior out for a proper dry at weekend.
Any constructive help from you knowledgable bunch will be appreciated! :?
