Electrical Fault!

Driving along (normally at slow speeds) and suddenly sat nav will flicker, loads of yellow warning lights come on (including power steering) and then as quickly as it has happened it stops! Does not happen all the time.

Any ideas? Car is booked in for something else but would be good to know what it could be in case they try to fob me off.

sounds like a loose connection of some kind, wouldnt know where to start looking though...

The first place I would look the the General Services module.

It is a small white box, approx. 4"x8", located on the kick plate under the glove box. As an additional point, this plate must be removed to access your cabin filter.

There are three connectors on it. If you decide to reseat (remove and replace) the connectors, please pull your battery cable first.

The next module is your Lighting module. You have to pull the light switch out of the dash to reseat the connector OR, remove your center instrument cowl (tack, speedo)(it is held in by ONE screw), and access the light module. I would also reseat the instrument cowl connector also..

As I said before, disconnect your battery...

There are other modules, but those are the easiest to access...

This sounds like a 'K-bus' or 'I-bus' signal interruption......

Another thing to look at is the earth(s). Bad earthing can show up all kinds of weird problems.
