Electric window problems

Hi,

I've recently bought my Z4 and found my drivers window switch does not work in stage 1, and then does work in stage 2 but only does stage 1 job if you get what i mean. I didnt think this a major issue at 1st but have realised when putting the roof up and down it is not returning the drivers side window up. Is this an easy fix or will i need a whole new unit?

Thanks, I tried searching for broke window switch before but nothing relevant came up!

Just tried that and still the same! On the way down down stages work. On the way up the 1st stage does nothing and the 2nd stage does the 1st stage function. This also means when operating the hood only the passenger side window returns up?! :S

Try searching for "Resetting the windows"...You will see people have tried several methods... also may have to try a few times....

Well i have tried every different method I could find on the internet and nothings worked, in fact at one point it jist stopped working all together lol!! Then i put the hood down and it went back to how it was ! May have to be a stealer job :/!

Did you have the door shut when trying the reset process?
