electric window not working

The passenger side window of my E85 Z4MR has stopped working, it is in the fully up position. There a response from the motor in the up position but not when the button is pressed for down. Any advice please?

I'll move this to E85/6 section as it's not ///M specific.

If the motor is working sounds like it could be the regulator. Known to fail.

Has it been slow/noisy recently?

No abnormal sounds previously. During the Winter the car has been garaged, occasional excursions to exercise the motor on dry days.
