As I commented on here before I pressed the window button on the drivers door and heard a clunk (cable snapping) and this is the time to stop immediately so as not to damage the nylon winding bobbin if you are going to replace the cable. The picture is of the wrong size one sent to me from an Ebay trader in the kit which costs a mere £7 odd. As you can see the original was smaller but could be reused. If I had to do the job again I would buy the the ready assembled cartridge as winding the cable is a bit fiddly but as a toolmaker I am used to such things but still would not bother. I also did not disconnect the airbag but worked around it. However the window works fine now.
