Thinking of swapping to electric seats, what is involved in changing.
Will existing facelift seats swap onto electric bases, are there any other hitches that need to be overcome

Thanks

simplest answer is that in a car built before October 2004 you should be able to plug and play heated/electric seats in with no hassles

Hi,
For a 2007, you are most likely not prewired and you’ll need a +12v wire from the fuse box, which is not too complicated — glove box and side panel on the foorwell needs to be removed. You will also need a ground wire from the grounding points next to the footwell speakers. A couple of new pins for the yellow connector under the seats. Search the forum for earlier threads covering the topic. Are the new seats from a pre or post facelift car?

Is there any special problem with pre facelift
The passenger seat’s occupancy sensor pad is different on pre and post facelift cars. Installing a pre facelift seat on a post facelift zed will light the airbag fault light, unless the sensor pad is changed to a post facelift one, or an inexpensive module from ebay is installed. Those modules emulate a sensor pad, i.e. cheat the electronics to believe the passenger seat is occupied.

I did a write up on how to install into a non wired car

It’s in the how to section?
