Electric roof alarming constantly

Hi,

I'm having problems with my electric roof on my 2.5l 2010 z4.

It's alarming as u drive at times as if it's not fully closed.

I've also had a couple of issues with it not coming down properly/stalling mid function.

Any advice?

Oops I've some how found myself in the e89 section. Everything I have just said Is probably completely inapplicable :lol:
 
There's a lot of sensors on the roof ,could be one of those is faulty
Lots like a trip to the dealers is on the cards :cry:
 
My colleague had/has a similiar problem.
She bought her car six months after me 2 years ago.
Second time she operated roof it got stuck.
Supposedly got fixed by BMW. Has only lowered roof a few times since, now she gets the bong and warning that roof isn't latched after going over a bump, coincidently on one of the warmest days we have had so far. So there is definitly a sensor somewhere susceptible to being a bit sensitive for not being set right.
I have told her to operate it at least once a week, especially seeing that its still under warranty. Good time to clean the seals.
Never had any problems with my 2009 car, the hoods up and down like a fiddlers elbow!
 
It tends to be worse if I take a sharp bend or go over a bump yes... Sometimes alarms for 10 minutes :( yes dealers here I come...
