Electric and manual seat question

I've had a look around and I can't find any answers, so I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction please.

My 2004 E85 has electric & heated standard seats. Everything works as it should do. I'm picking up a pair of M Sport seats today - these are from a 2007 E85 and they are heated but manually adjustable.

Is it possible to swap the electric motors and wiring from the standard seats into the M Sport ones? Or are the two seat bases somehow interchangeable...?

Any advice gratefully received, guys!

I’ve just gone the other way (non electric to electric)

I had a drama to overcome which meant I was looking at swapping parts from the two seats- they are very different.

The seat runners for example are sealed (or at least not conventionally screwed or bolted) meaning interchange is limited

Someone will give a definitive answer- only my limited knowledge

Yep, look for a post by cj10jeeper, from many years ago. Very detailed on the swap he did.
