Eisenmann Sport vs Race

I know there are already a million threads on this, but man I can't make up my mind.

I am now ordering an Eisenmann quad exhaust system, and I can't choose between race and sport.

I feel like if I go for sport, I'll end up wanting more.

I feel like if I go for the race it'll be a little over the top and I'll her dirty looks.

My goal is to emulate an M type sound (obviously can't fully replicate it)

I especially love those crackles and pops on the backfire, and I want some sort of low deep sound and at low rpm, when at a constant speed. As is, if I'm going a steady 30 mph, there's no sound until you accelerate.

What are your guys' thoughts?

Thanks!

Do you ever plan to run aftermarket catless headers?

If yes, go sport. If no, go race. The Supersprint race I have on the 3.0i wasn't very loud until I put catless headers on the car. Even now, it's nothing compared to the Rogue Diablos and Supersprint V1 setup I have on the M.

Are you intending to track your car? If you are you might want to go Sport rather than Race if you are in the UK (sorry can't see where you are from because I'm on TapaTalk). Noise restrictions are getting ever more stringent on UK tracks.

EDIT: I'm on the laptop now so can see you are from the US. Noise limits may not be such an issue over there as they are here.

good point. i would be very surprised if any production car like ours could break the noise limits on some tracks even with an aftermarket exhaust unless you really stripped it out. impressive if you can :D if my shitty westy exhaust can get through then im sure one of these will.

if we had a cat-less header would you have to swap them over mot time or will it just scrape through.

have you thought of going to a custom place that will make it for you? cant imagine it would be hugely more expensive and they may be able to tune the sounds you want.
