Eisenmann exhaust system - anyone else have this?

Hi everyone.

I've been looking at the Eisenmann website to learn more about the exhaust systems they can manufacture - for our Z it is a choice between their 'sport' which is on mine, or 'race' which - going by youtube - sounds absolutely outrageous.

Just curious to know if anyone else has gone for one of these - I thought the sport system really freed up the 'voice' of the S54 over the standard BMW pipes, without making it antisocial/boyracer.

I have the race version, it's actually fairly quiet so I added some decats and now it sounds "proper" 8)

A mate of mine has the race version, really not that loud unless you're gunning it or have a decat. Great sounding exhaust.

Better to upload one onto YouTube, then link it to here!

I'll post up one of mine soon but can't guarantee perfect sound quality through my phone mic. I *think* mine is just the 'sport', so it'll be good to compare against the 'race'!

Any particular reason for why you are looking at just Eisenmann?

Supersprint and Bastuck are also reputable aftermarket exhaust manufacturers.

I also believe RPI is quite popular on these cars albeit tend to border the obnoxiously loud end of the spectrum.

But if it was me I would look into debaffling / bypassing / gutting your stock mufflers for a straight through internal system. The sound and performance won’t be much different to that of an aftermarket system however your wallet will be much healthier. I did this to my E46 M3 and if I had a Z4M I would do the same thing. Any reputable exhaust fabricator should be able to do this for you.

I'm still a big fan of the BCS exhaust, the build quality and service is infectious.

i have the RPI mated to a large bore v banded system with 100 cell cats..... its so loud it near unbearable but every one else seems to love it! teamed with a supercharger blowing through it, the sound is not what you'd expect.

Could you ever even get the RPi in the UK? I thought they stood making them even in the States?
