Eisenhaus = FRAUD

For anyone that doesn't know about this yet, long story short, Eisenhaus made some fake Eisenmann exhausts that were made in Korea. Eisenmann-technik.de found out about this and terminated Eisenhaus' license to sell (the real) Eisenmann exhausts. Eisenmann has now given IND the license to sell Eisenmann exhausts, and they're the only official USA Eisenmann exhaust distributor.

From what it looks like, the fake Eisenmann exhausts have affected the E46 3ers and M3 the most, and then some E60 M5's and 335i's. I've just talked to IND and confirmed that my Eisenmann exhausts are authentic and made in Germany (phew). I would've been seriously pissed off if I were to spend $2k on fake exhausts.

My Eisenmanns as they were being installed. If you see the ribbed lines on the mufflers, you have the authentic ones. If the surface is completely flat & smooth, it's fake.

I've read a few threads out there about group buys, arguments about distribution, yadda yadda. Pretty heated stuff, this Eisenhaus biz. Wow... at least you've got the real ones.

Y'know, the more I look at that picture... it just looks somehow wrong... :o

:rofl:

Yeah, somehow if I was in that picture I would also have been glad my face was covered

Please tell me you didn't spend $2,000 just on the muffler assembly. It was a complete catback system right? What's the performance gain?

Got a chance to talk to Eisenmann-technik.de (the REAL Eisenmann) and IND again and a few other people in the know. It is confirmed that all the Z4M Eisenmann exhausts are real and no fake ones exists.

Apparently, from what I was told, the Z4M is such a low production model that it would've cost more money to produce fake exhausts than to simply sell the authentic ones imported directly from Eisenmann Germany. So few units were sold. One of the rare times when the small aftermarket support for this car is actually a good thing I guess.

I trust that the car was not just resting on a jack ??? Also - where was it jacked up as I have not found a good point to jack the car at the back

The car was resting on jack stands. :thumbsup: My friend installed the exhaust for me. I didn't realize this back then, but I'm pretty sure the car shouldn't have been jacked up from the back like shown in the picture. I did have a chance to check to see if anything was bent, and luckily nothing was, at least visually. I seem to recall that Ron Stygar on bimmerfest has done a modification to allow the car to be jacked up from the back safely though. When I was at the local Discount Tire store a couple of weeks ago, they almost tried to jack up my car from the back like shown in the 1st picture, but I was able to stop them just in time. :headbang:

Haha that's not my garage. That's my friend's garage. And how do you guys not notice a nice bright red E30 325is (it was freshly detailed and in an amazing condition) but you notice every little detail in the background. :D
