Question on spring replacement concerning M cars.
Can they be replaced since the car raises and lowers depending on the sport setting?

:lol: I swear some people think the sport button also gives them an extra 50bhp.

Adaptive M suspension.

The optional Adaptive M suspension allows the sports tuning of the BMW Z4 Roadster to be increased as required without compromising on comfort.

Lowering the chassis by 10 mm increases agility. Using the driving experience switch, the driver can also choose between a setting geared towards sports character and one with an emphasis on comfort.

During the journey, sensors continuously measure data and control the shock absorber valves in the Adaptive M suspension according to the driving situation and road profile. This takes place for each wheel individually so that optimum road holding is guaranteed at all times.

Yes I know it exists, but not on an E85 Z4, nor an E86 Z4, nor an E85 Z4M nor an E86 Z4M.

Stick them on and don't worry about it. Put mine on myself 18 months ago without any problems.
Never had a wheel alignment either.

How did the car differ in feal after tou had done the change? No regrets?

Car felt more planted and seems a better ride on our crap roads. I have 19 inch wheels on my car also.

+1 Went through a similar dilemma on what to do and just did the springs in the end with a view to changing more if needed.

Running 19" wheels and the handling is much better. Cornering much improved and no regrets also. Oh and looks much better aswell.

Yeah fitting was abt 150. Springs 200. Alignment abt 120 - I had quite a bit of adjusting done. Feels really good, good improvement on stock and looks better too.
