Eibachs and poweflex!

I have just ordered the eibach pro kit to sort my broken rear spring and powerflex front rear wishbone bushes, front roll bar bushes, rear trailing arm bushes and rear roll bar bushes!

Anybody got an idea of how long it is likely to take a mechanic to fit them? I have a local garage I use for this kind of thing and they have a very reasonable hourly rate!

Now the car is nearly finished there will be pics to follow soon! :driving:

Oli, sorry I can't help with fitting costs but I've been planning on poly for a while just not known what to buy, ie, which bushes I'd need.sounds like a comprehensive set you bought do you mind letting me know what they cost and where from. Cheers iain.

I got mine done about a year ago and like you had the full set of springs and bushes, I got billed for 4 hours. never regretted doing it.

Thanks Nosa / johnyfive.

Imp75, I got them from http://www.venommotorsport.com/ - Had the best prices I could find and I have used them before with no issues.

They were the only 4 sets of bushes available for on their website so I would imagine they are the main ones.

I used http://www.realoem.com/bmw/ to find out the correct sizes, depends if you already have the M-Sport suspension or not along with production date from what I can tell.

On real oem you put in your chassis number and it locates your car that way. I looked at my chassis number last night for the first time and is the last 3 letters are 'OLS' which is a BIG co-incidence as my name is Oli and my private plate is V* OLS!!

I called the dealer with my VIN and the guy in parts gave me the right sizes to order, very decent of them I thought.

I got mine from here

These guys were great, the only issue I had was I had to wait for a month to get the rear bushes as the maunufacture had suffered a fire at the factory which held up supplies, Not motorsports fault and they gave me full and fair warning of the expected wait before I placed the order.
Top guys to deal with.

having the same problem with my rear bushes. *Edit* Pete at Autotech is able to get them, so soon as my front rotors come in I'll do the rear poly & brakes.

Got the full set of polybushes ordered and should have them fitted this week. Will post back after ive had a good test drive with them :)

thanks oli, looks like £130 for the set then, plus fitting of course. having read the (poss biased) write up on the website, it sounds like a smallish price to pay for a car with a showroom fresh feel

The ride on the Z4 is already quite stiff. wouldn't fiiting the poly bushes make it even harder?

Or are you planning on doing trackdays?

Are the Eibach springs any better than standard?

Yes they will. After having the fronts fitted with poly bushes I can say that bumps felt a bit harder....not enough to really bother me but noticeable. I drive on very bumpy roads to work every day but like I said, noticeable.
