Eibach or H&R springs for a Z4C 3.0si?

I would like to lower my car however I’m not sure whether to install Eibachs or H&Rs.

I believe the drop with the H&Rs is larger, however I am concerned about affecting the quality of the ride.

Those who have installed either Eibachs or H&Rs, please post pics so I can see the difference.

I have eibach's on mine (roadster) and I wouldn't want it any lower at the front. The rear could come down 10mm or so, but it does that when you sit in it anyway :lol:

Ride quality is fine with eibach springs. Certainly no worse than with the sport springs.

another vote for eibach here wouldnt personally want to go any lower especially on a daily

Thank's, Yes I have some spacer for the front wheels. I am running M3 competion package wheels which are the csl one's for the rear but the front is in 8"

I've got eibachs myself and im happy with them. Ive also been told the h&r give a harsher ride than eibachs and they are also 10mm lower. Bearing in mind this and the wheels your running I think it would have to be eibachs for me. What offsets are your wheels?

18” 8 et35 / 18” 8.5 et38.

With that offset on the front I'd definitely go with eibach. That extra 10mm drop with H&R could make the difference between rubbing and not. To be honest you may get some slight rubbing with the eibachs anyway but I think it's more than likely with the H&R. I'd also pull the camber pins if you have already to increase the front camber to give as much clearance as possible

I’ve uploaded this one before but it does show the drop off pretty well.

I’m on eibachs and wouldn’t want an more of a drop as I wouldn’t get over anything. I’d say they are at least as good as the oem sport springs they replaced.

225/35-19 & 265/30-19. No rubbing. Wheels are 8,5 ET34 and 10" ET41.
Use this setup for occasional trackdays too.
