Eibach Fitting Cost

I had the same with my local indy. they got a bit shirty when I queried the cost, reckoned the fronts were tricky as they needed preloading iirc.

Just had a quote from an Indy who stated that they use the same software BMW do to quote times for a job and this states 4 hours for front springs and 2.5 hours for rear springs  This probably explains why a lot of the quotes are high.

Crazy... rears are 15-20 mins a side even for me. Jack it up, wheel off, undo the lower shock bolt, remove spring, fit new spring, reattach shock, wheel on. Done!

Fronts, I probably took around 2.5 hours I think for both sides, but that was the first time on the Zed.

So no more than 3.5 hours labour in total! More like 3hrs for a pro.

Decided I am going to get hold of spring compressors and give it a go myself, once this bloody rain stops and I can not rush it.

I'd recommend getting your hands on a impacked gun, the anti roll bar drop links and attached to the front shocks, these are very difficult to remove without damaging them unless you have an impack gun

Glad my dad and I did mine. Sod paying the prices quoted here.

Rears are so easy to do even if you have no previous experience.

Rears take literally 10 mins a side. Could do that in a car park. Could then pay to get the fronts done.

I know what you mean though. Wouldn't like doimng stuff like that in the Road.

Just had a quote for fitting an Eibach kit (inc the kit itself) at £486 inc VAT.

This sound reasonable do you think?

Was from Darren Wood in Stockport, who are very reputable as we all know.

There goes my wheel refurb fund :(

Does sound a bit expensive I would shop around. Although if they are that trust worthy with your car and their service is good it may be worth paying the extra.

I paid <£250 to have a set of new springs and a full bush kit fitted at a BMW specialist. In surrey though I'm afraid.

Best of luck, you won't be think about how much it's cost once it's looking nice n' low :-)

But it's almost £200 for the kit though, so that price looks ok, esp if it includes an alignment ?

If that's kit plus alignment agreed, that's a good price
