So if you've still got it then ask yourself why.

Is it the colour? Whilst rare, that can also mean unpopular and not everyone's cup of tea. Personally I like the colour so that wouldn't put me off.
The non standard bits would put me off and make me think it's another 'boyed up' example. (Please understand that I'm not suggesting that for a second).

If it's not the colour then it must be the price. Everyone says, it's what people are prepared to pay for it. Perhaps drop it to £10,450 and see if anyone appears. However I suspect this will go for a smidge under £10k.

Good luck!

Being blunt but not intending to offend the colour could be going against you :o it's a bit "girly"
I'm looking at the advert & seeing a terrific looking example but the colour would not work for me .

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2003-03-BMW-M3-CONVERTIBLE-3-2L-MANUAL-BLACK-E46-/111709558311?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1a02689627

Not saying this is any better a car overall but if its not shifting at £7500 it kinda says where the market is right now on early E46 M3 verts :( they aren't as popular as the coupe version & therefore won't draw the big numbers .
If you really want it gone id go £10k on the ebay ad & skip the blurb about it being" the most desired colour "
I would also have a pic of the car on listing banner as opposed to the trim .
27 "watchers" with a day to go is not a lot so you need to tweak things to get more interest
best of luck

I think its a lovely car...

The colour is marmite, but i quite like it....

You are asking top cash for that and i dont blame you at all...You only need the right man.

To get your money,i would expect it to have full BMWSH,confirmation of the subframe being in good order and i would have the wheels refurbed.

The advert relies on the colour too much and doesnt give enough info about the important things that new owners want to know.

Rust... Especially on arches ??
Any repainted panels?
Any engine mods past or present?
Detailed history?
Drivers seat condition and general condition of leather.
Recent parts fitted
Vanos history
Headgaskets history
Rod bearing history..

Keep with it...Someone will have it.

Now is the time to sell for sure...... 6 weeks to go for verts...

Yours is the one that had a supercharger fitted at one point didnt it ?

I'm sorry, but you sound a little wide-boy in the ad.

Top spec.....and then you list speakers on another line (wouldn't speakers be classed in the spec?).....list goes on (well maybe tell me about it FFS).....hard top for extra.....you've not even got a buyer yet & already up selling them....gearbox replaced....as previous owner said.....think I spent £1k, no idea, all cash....damaged car on splitter that looks so aftermarket....ditch them if damaged....rare, rare, rarer....yawn.

Car looks great, but afraid the way the ad sounds just wouldn't make me contact you, period.

Sorry to be harsh, but that's how it reads to me.

Remember, it's a rare one :headbang:

lWill revamp it. But wtf is a wide boy?[/quote said:
Wasn't it a special edition Suzuki Vitara

Don't take the post to heart , a few fair points made but maybe could have covered it in some warm milk :D

i'm not that sensitive mate, i just changed the advert. see what you guys think?

although autotrader having issues so my advert is still crap on there!

Sorry, long day & you got the back of it.

Wide boy was a bit gangster, lots of possibles, little proof or context.

Reads much more positively now & I don't get the 'over sell' vibe.

I actually love the colour combo, and the rarity factor, so was trying to help - must remember warm milk though

Hope you get it sold, you'll love the Z :driving:

Cheers mate.

Do we think the hard top being available is important? Some guy wants to buy it seperately. Personally I wouldn't care but not sure what others might think.

Did the car originally come with it, or was it added afterwards? If original, I'd keep it with it. I've always seen the storage of them as a pain & would rather one without hard top, but that's a sample of one!

Not sure how common hard tops are, so could get a decent price but given how few cars in your colour then someone will want it cheap due to re spray.

I would include the hardtop with the price you have the car up for. If someone doesn't want it then you have something to negotiate with.

Just looking on PH I think your price is high compared to other 2002 models with same mileage. Problem is there is plenty of choice out there so asking more for an individual/rare colour doesn't help unless it's a really desired colour.

Have to say I'm with MR Wilks though and that colour would be bottom of my list though, sorry.
