Edinburgh: Eating & Drinking?

Got a joint 50th birthday's trip with a few friends coming up in late April. Staying in the city centre.
Anyone with recommendations on places to eat and drink? We're officially a 'Mid-Suffolk Beer & Curry Club' so bonus points for spice

Nok’s Kitchen at the Castle highly recommended. We stayed in Edinburgh the week leading up to Christmas and walked past this place and tried to get a table, had to book for the following night as it was busy. Food and service was excellent and we’d definitely go back.

For clarity, there are two Nok’s Kitchen restaurants in Edinburgh, the one that wifey and I visited is the one near to the castle.

It is. We didn’t eat but had a great afternoon drinking cocktails. We also did a tour of the underground caves in the old town which was good. I will get the proper name of it and post later on.

Potentially the Edinburgh Vaults or Mary King's Close. Both are excellent. There's also some great night walking tours around that area as well.

It's been a long time since I lived there, so any food recommendations I have are likely no longer relevant, however if you're still peckish at the end of the night, I'd recommend a battered cheeseburger, in a bap, with mayo from a local chippie. The grubbier looking the establishment, the better!

If yiu are looking for good curry in Edinburgh..Dishoom not far from the station is really good with a great atmosphere…real Raj type stuff
